Signature Products Group is a company that creates products for brands such as Browning, Mossy Oak, Realtree and many more. They have several categories within those brands that they make product for. I mainly worked on apparel and paper. I started at SPG as a t-shirt and apparel graphics designer. Which included specking my designs for printing and embroidery in USA and China. If you know, you know the tedium and detail that goes into that. I also worked on the catalogs. At first each category had its own catalog. Then we created the Product Atlas that included all the categories in one place. It was a challenging project that several designers collaborated on. It had to follow each brand’s standards but also look liked they all fit under the SPG umbrella. When the decision was made to go back to individual catalogs for each category I was in charge of managing the timelines and making sure the designers were on track while getting my own catalog ready. We got them all out the door on time and I did the press checks for them. While I spent most of my time on catalogs at SPG I was able to collaborate on packaging and clothing tags. As well as jump in on “all hands on deck” situations like trade show prep, packaging mock ups, and spec sheets.
