ABOUT ANNA
I am mama to four littles and wife to a handyman with an amazing beard. Together, we work our butts off on our small farm, where we have a few goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and rabbits.
I got my degree in graphic design from the University of Utah. I spent my first year at a company that sold lotions and other beauty products. I did mostly Facebook ads and assisted with the catalog. My second job was at SPG. I started as a T-shirt and apparel graphic designer. I then switched to working on catalogs. I also assisted with packaging, photography, and other "all hands on deck" projects. After that, I worked for nearly 8 years at Close to My Heart, working on catalogs, web images, monthly campaign collateral, scrapbook and cardmaking guides, and so much more.
Most of what I have designed in my personal time has been related to dogs or dog shows. Dogs have always been special to me. They are so devoted and are a wonderful example of unconditional love. I have two Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, Tessa and Juno. My first Swissy, Isis, I showed for about 4 years. She and I learned a lot together, and she reached Champion status in the show ring.
WHAT'S WITH THE NAME?
The story behind my brand name comes from my Grandpa John calling me Little Anna. It didn't matter that I was no longer little. Granted, my grandpa was about 6'5", so to him, I still seemed small.
When I think of my grandpa, I am in awe of the things that he did. This man was hard-working, sometimes working 2–3 jobs to make sure his family was cared for. He could build anything and was always there to help on home improvement projects. He had an artistic talent and saw possibility in what others called junk. I've seen him create airplanes out of beer cans and cowboys out of horseshoes.
He had true grit. Little Anna makes me think of my grandpa and how I strive to be just as hardworking, creative, and amazing as he was.
